The Ever Glowing Magic Lamp!..I must say...brilliantly witty..satirical..intelligently highlighting upon some v.v.v.imp issues of our society...through life ofcourse.....Kudos To Mr.Anik Dutta..BB had a certain color of it's own and AP has it's own too..which is making the Lamp all the more bright...and the color is mostly due to the amalgamtion of so many different characters with their own unique traits..the characters are the representatives of some common urban Bengali prototypes..hilarious moments..specially,the dialogues..the fantasy tale is a layer upon the reality..and Mr.Dutta has wonderfully presented that...Perhaps he was the ventriloquist through the Genie..The First half was brilliantly engaging with a v.good pace...and then the beginning of a journey..which Mr.Anilava,actually the representative of middle class Bengali people was aspiring for..What I mostly liked about this movie was the characterisation part...when a man wishes to rise to the highest step of his life,he has to come across so many different personalities that often he loses track of his own life and develops a philosophical question...Is that what we really need?Or Are these things at all necessary to lead a simple life?....The songs are quite apt relating to some aspects of life and hence relevant to the plot.
.The ending,though I felt a bit abrupt,yet at the same time I feel that it was made in this way perhaps to begin a new story..which he certainly did not wish to reveal then..or may be the director left an open ended conclusion so that the audience can judge it on their own.One might accept it differently too.Aschorjo Prodeep has a direct link to our society,it is a societal satire directed towards people in general.He is concerned with the present moral values and degradation of it in our society.However,all in all,it's a roller coaster ride of pomp,luxuries,happiness,fun,wnjoyment and last but not the least disappointment...which makes one to ponder upon certain facts of life.
